Can anyone recommend a peat free compost for seed sowing that is not already infested with fungus gnats? I have tried sterilising in the microwave which kills the eggs and larvae but stinks the house out and boiling water which is messy and slow.

    thank you

I recently used Westland Seed Compost and found it dried out very quickly and almost set like concrete. 😕
