I have a schefflera enneaphylla full of seed pods but this is the first year it has flowered so not sure When to harvest them. Do i wait for them to go brown and dry or cut off the branch with all the purple berrys on and let them dry out? Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

    Hi @Danny,

You want to leave the berries on to ripen for as long as possible. The problem is the birds love them! Use a net bag to protect them. When the berries are dark in colour and squishy to touch they are ripe. At this point you can pick them and extract the seeds from inside, there will usually be 2 seeds per berry. Dry the extracted seeds for a couple of days and you are ready for sowing 👍
