Help protect Hosta leaves
I recently spotted this enormous Hosta ‘Empress Wu’ leaf in my local garden centre. I’d love to add Hostas to the shaded areas in my garden but I can NEVER keep the slugs and snails off them without using slug pellets. Has anyone got pet friendly slug deterrent suggestions? Cheers.

I had some success planting lettuces around my hosta which seemed to distract the slugs

I find crushed eggs shells turned upside and scattered around area helps, also a garlic wash helps.

I’m a hosta and snail lover. I feed my snails and slugs cucumber, they love it and my hostas always remain untouched.
