If you have used seed compost it will be low in nutrients and they will need potting into multipurpose compost.
If they are already in multipurpose compost then I would recommend first checking that they haven’t been overwatered as this can cause yellowing leaves.
Finally a dilute liquid feed is probably the best option once a week 👍

@Craig thank you Craig. They are in a multipurpose compost with perlite, I think they may have been over watered they seemed soggy for days after repotting, I would say they are a pale green rather than yellow.

Speaking of potting on – when would be the best time to pot on Cannas? I’ve got a load growing in seed compost still, all between 1 – 6 inches tall at the moment.

Hi @martin , I would say that sounds like the perfect height for potting on Cannas. I expect they are probably 2-3 leaves into growing?

Yeah just about pushing a third out. I’ll look to get them potted on sooner rather than later. Cheers 👍

It sounds as though the root zone may have just become a little too waterlogged. Give them a bit of time for the soil to dry a bit

Yeah this is my first year growing cannas from seed and while Im new to it I have done literally hundreds. Ive learnt that every variety and even sometimes every plant is different and they all have issues and also all seem to bounce back from their issues!

My canna seedlings are going in the ground this weekend. The adult plants have survived minus 10 outside mulched over.

@Psychic_dog can I ask what part of the country you live? I an in SW Dorset and really itching to get the cannas out but a bit worried. I lost all my cannas over winter and so had to start again with rizomes and seeds.
