Early flowering Canna musifolia
This is my first year growing Canna musifolia and second year of tropical style gardening. My understanding was that they are very unlikely to flower in the UK but it appears that one of mine planted in a fairly restrictive stone trough, is starting to flower. Has anyone else had a Canna musifolia flower this early?

Hi @Dale , I’ve never seen them flower this early before. It should mean that you will be able to save some seeds! 😁

Mine is 2m tall already, having come through winter without any problem, so will carry on feeding and watering in hope of some flowers later on – though really the foliage is beautiful enough by itself.
