Just wanted to show off my enormous Begonia silhetensis from India. I got this from Monrovia, Dan Hinkley collection. It’s said to be hardy usda zones 8-11. It stays evergreen but the foliage is frost tender. The rhizome should be mulched with straw or leaves. Hopefully if flowers next year and produces seeds, in the meanwhile Ill try rooting some leaf cuttings. Im thrilled to have these huge lush exotic leaves in my garden. Happy gardening!

That is a thing of beauty! If you weren’t in Canada I’d be asking to swap cuttings 😁🪴
