I never expected to have so much problems waking these up. I assume as a bulb, in put in a pot and it grows, but no it has taken month and moths to get these started. I can even take them outside because they r temprimental. Can u tell me why? I was expected them to b in my garden with all the heat we have been getting. I have had more success with edoes from the Indian shop. I did have success with cutting off an eye from the mother plant alicasia, put in water and it grew into a little baby as shown, along with the colicasia . What am I doing wrong?

Hi I have seen the same with three collacasia and allocasia that I planted. The final one has just sprouted this week after a couple of months. I grown these almost like a bog plant sitting in water with moss on the top of the pot and in the greenhouse at times 30°c. Next time I will put in a zip bag with damp moss. Hope this helps.

Best method I have found is zip lock bag with one breath of air in it, keep in dark warm place . In a week or two it will start shooting. Wait until each shoot has roots then pot up. Can rot if to Moist at the start.
