Hi Craig, yes i leave it in the ground again like last winter.
The thinner branches will die pretty quickly after the first frost. I only protected the base stem with fleece cloth. When I’m home i will take a picture of the base and you can see to where i had to cut it back last spring. If you live in the south it will definitly survive the winters without to much protection at all
